To all our remainers, Javert, Beelbeeb, Conchur, Quackers and all...

I know Brexit is the major issue for you all, and I hope you will have seen in the announcements that the forum will be closing down soon. Therefore, I would like to invite you all to come and set up on our new forum, which can be found here -

    https://politicalforums.uk/pol/index.php

We have all had our differences in the past, but in the end I am still a remainer. And I can't fight all the swivel eyed fascist brexiteer loons on my own

Seriously, and sincerely, we want you all to come across so we can continue the scintillating ballet of Brexit discussion when this place finally closes its doors.

Nothing lasts forever,it is a slow process of the Westminster party political mind, first they tell you that you aren't serious about democracy, then they tell you have it all it wrong anyway, then they threaten you, then you win. Then they go,oh feck they are serious, maybe we shouldn't have told them, that is what they were fighting for,we had better make an effort.
This is a fight between the establishment with its power to create false impressions and the people's right of democracy. One vote one person.

You mean you have prepared a viable alternative that meets all the people's needs before leaving the current status quo?

Good - I will register and thanks to all for running this forum up to now.

"The Inland Revenue is not slow, and quite rightly, to take every advantage which is open to it under the Taxing Statutes for the purposes of depleting the taxpayer's pocket. And the taxpayer is in like manner entitled to be astute to prevent, so far as he honestly can, the depletion of his means by the Inland Revenue" (Lord Clyde: "Ayrshire Pullman Motor Services V Inland Revenue, 1929")
