The referendum was advisory. The House of Commons library briefing paper on the Referendum Act clearly says "It does not contain any requirements for the UK Government to implement the results of the referendum."
Of course we've had no problems with the single currency. Not since Black Friday when the UK swiftly left the European ERM, having been stung rather badly.
We did the right thing never joining the Eurozone.
It would have made withdrawal even more complex.
Ask Greece, Spain and Italy how a single currency, without a single monetary policy works for them.

Ask them why they haven't left it then. Or are you saying that these countries are intrinsically masochist?

If you've had no problems with the Euro, why are you complaining about it?

Italy and Greece have considered it, but it would mean leaving the EU. We now know that is a little on the difficult side.
Have you ever driven across the Spanish border, into France. A coffee on the motorway in Spain might be 1.50 and in France, 2.50. That shows the difference in the value of the Euro in different countries, despite it being one currency.

What is the relevance in the difference in the price of coffee, you'll find differences like that in France itself without having to travel to Spain. You also get huge differences in price in the UK. Try buying the same things in Waitrose and Aldi.

That was a problem with the pound not a problem with the Euro.
