Collapse or war think the young!

So many Brexiteers have suggested this and been shouted down, but others fear it too.

Thanks for posting the article, I found it interesting.
I do believe that the EU realise that they are in trouble. They may not overtly say so, but wasn't it Juncker who said they need to reform and reinvent themselves in the near future or they would be likely to fail?
There must be a lot of EU brainy civil servant types working on this. It is possible that if/when the UK leaves, there will be greater unity for change and greater unity for federalism among the 27.
I can't see it happening whilst the troubles are going on in France, Spain are struggling with Cataluņa, Poland and Hungary have nationalism rising, whilst Italy are almost breaking the system with banking debt and railing against the commissioners.
I expect that there will have to be some painful compromising.
They took your country from you, now they've taken your democracy too.
And "they" are the elites, those who hate the culture of the people, the values of the people, the democracy of the people.

I am confused. Maybe I'm just tired, but I read through that link and I didntbsee WHICH member states would be declaring war on each other.

As I understood it which countries wasn't mentioned just the fear that it was possible. Of course a conspiracy theorist might assume underhand tactics to encourage more status quo votes.

If you can provide the survey or poll, this might be worth commenting on.

I doubt that the EU will see a civil war. The ones most worried are kids and kids worry happily about bugger all. I don't think that the EU will last, not because of war but because it is a cartel and cartels don't last because they are based on the idea that nothing will change. The idea of the EU was that Western Europe and the US would remain the centre of the economic universe. It was accepted that those funny little chaps in Japan would carry on making cameras and motor bikes, but no one expected the rise of China or India or any other nation for that matter.

As far as I can see, the basic belief of most remainers is that they don't care who runs the UK as long as it isn't the British. With that and the potential collapse of the EU and the rise of Africa in mind, I imagine that in a couple of decades the chattering classes will be campaigning for the UK to become the 37th state of Nigeria.

That also crossed my mind, whilst peering through the holes in my tinfoil balaclava.
