Viral posts about Lisbon treaty on Social Media are false

For anyone who is seeing various viral posts about the Lisbon treaty on Facebook or other media, please refer to the below fact checking article which points out that most of the 20+ points being claimed are completely false lies, and the other ones are vague half truths.

The obvious question here is, if the EU is such a terrible organisation, why do its opponents need to fabricate lists of complete falsehoods in order to make their case? Surely if the EU is really that bad, they could just tell the truth and it would be more than enough to convince people that leaving was the right choice?
