The new parliamentary democracy,it's not the will of the people that counts but the will of 650......will come back to haunt them.

Way back when, the referendum to join the ahem 'Common Market' was the sprat to catch a mackerel; the plan was always - and make no mistake IT STILL IS?? - to join all member states into political union (emphasis on 'political'!). We're being herded like the sheep we are, I'm afraid.
A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself.

Some of us are. But me and Sheepy and a few others won't be herded.
