The trade deal with Switzerland has not been signed, it has been initiated:

    https://www.gov.uk/government/news/u...t-after-brexit

The trade deal seeks to replicate the deal the UK has with Switzerland while being member of the EU.

Meanwhile, Japan is apparently looking for large concessions from the UK:

It looks like the sunlit uplands are still quite far away.

It has no bearing. We are in the EU and the trade deal is an EU trade deal.

It is indeed good news, but not to do with Brexit. In fact it proves the contrary of what you were hoping to prove. It proves that we can make good deals from INSIDE the EU!

What has the deal with Canada and Australia to do with the eu....... Or being in it? nothing.

The positives of brexit will never appeal to someone like you because you are both deaf and blind to them, you are one more in a long procession of people who have come on here to tell people who voted leave that they didn't know what they were voting for and are possibly congenital idiots.

We are told we need a new referendum because we didn't like the result of the first,I am not really in the mood for more of this, you lost if there's any semblance of democracy left in this country we will leave.

Come back in ten years and ask for another referendum.
The new parliamentary democracy,it's not the will of the people that counts but the will of 650......will come back to haunt them.

We can do trade deals with them BECAUSE we are in the EU. The EU rules apply.

Not that far now!! The MAIN move to regaining sovereignty is leaving the unwarranted EU.....and that is almost nigh.......unless May tries yet again to reach a deal that still ties us to the EU..... Nobody has denied experiencing an initial economic downturn.....however, becoming NORMAL again has to be good news for the UK........and normality in trading is more sensibly related to trading via WTO rules than via membership of a unique political entity.............especially one that posits beneficial free trading......which to the UK at least is nowhere near 'free' trading.......

I do not like to report people.

I do like to discuss sensibly with people. IMO it is always better to discuss things with logic and courtesy. Neither were present in your post.

I am so tired of the self-loathing and putting down of this country that so many (in this country) undertake to show what a failure we are and how we have to be in the EU.

As for the OP, I put "Canada frigate BAE" into Google, and found these results under the news section: https://www.google.com/search?q=Cana...w=1920&bih=947

Not one report from British news sources. Now they may well come, but they should be shouting about this, shouldn't they??
No,because that would mean we can survive and flourish without the EU.
