Jeremy Hunt is a fool. Just walking away will badly effect many millions of British citizens for an indeterminate length of time. The WTO dispute resolution system has been emasculated by Trump so going to WTO rules is madness.

I would prefer a deal, but to think the UK will fail if they go alone is defeatist. Of course, there will be individuals and businesses who will suffer, bey we can make it alone.

Now a 'Canada+++' deal seems impossible to obtain from negotiations, I am becoming increasingly convinced that No Deal and leaving on WTO terms with the EU is the best route forward. May has achieved the bizarre: uniting ultra-Remainers and devout Brexieers in their joint disdain of her deal. The issue is with the other side, they see a 2nd referendum - ameliorated by dubbing it a 'People's Vote - as the answer. If they were educated on the facts of WTO terms, instead of Project Fear, they would come to see my point of view.

Throughout this whole process there has not been any note of optimism. Everyone talks of doom and gloom and what surprises me the most is that when remainers talk about the future it is as if they had a crystal ball and are certain of what dire consequences there will be if we choose that path. When brexiteers make any sort of statement about their vision of the future it is usually rubbished by the media and remainers as being speculative.
