The US mid term elections - what is going on?

Generally I enjoy US politics but the mid term elections have got me beat. Lots of sound and fury but I have no idea what is happening. According to the bulk of US media the democrats will sweep the board and Trump will get an orange jump suit for Christmas. Fox News on the other hand thinks anyone who opposes the Donald is the Anti Christ etc etc.

And with all the coverage, the polls seem pretty basic.

So who will win and by how much?

This from the man who assured us that the Tory government would fall because all the current MPs were heading for jail as a result of electoral fraud.

As a general rule Lankou I welcome your analysis because it is invariably wrong, so all I need do is turn your comments through 180 degrees and I am on the right track.

That said, right now I have no need of the lastest regurgitations of the Tin Foil Hat News, but would like some impute as to what is actually going on across the pond.

As long as Theresa May is not stupid enough or naive enenough to sign a trade agreement with Trump that has an Investor-state dispute settlement (ISDS) clause in it, I am not interested in what happens in the USA.

I suspect many have their heads in the sand. After so long with Democrats having their say there was a large band wanting a taste of the current raspberry flavour. Trump's message yesterday will carry well with many and talk of USA first works well for them. They want to pull the drawbridge up out of fear of what is happening all over the world and it is a place that many don't even understand. I just guess it will depend on how the Dems have got their act together. I just can't see any real leaders yet.
...till I die I will not remove mine integrity from me, xx

Well, I can't be bothered to look through 12,905 posts but you definitely said the government could fall, there would have to be new elections ordered and that several Tory MPs could be imprisoned. That is from memory.

I have no idea what is going on in the USA, except the lefties are still whining over the last election result and it seems, most of the country are just getting on with the job. The Mexican wall isn't quite finished.
