Biggest economy, and the worlds biggest military power. We shouldn't forget that capitalism is the only thing that works, and the USA lead the world in this. Finally, I for one believe that Don Trump is probably the best leader the world has ever seen, so the answer is that the world does rely on America, and it isn't likely to change for a while either
Keep Britain British, whoops, it's too late

China owns most of America's debt and is also practically the only source of the rare earth elements that are needed for all the electronic devices we use and a lot of the smart weapons.

"The Inland Revenue is not slow, and quite rightly, to take every advantage which is open to it under the Taxing Statutes for the purposes of depleting the taxpayer's pocket. And the taxpayer is in like manner entitled to be astute to prevent, so far as he honestly can, the depletion of his means by the Inland Revenue"

    Few corrections for Lankou

    1) China does not own most of the US Debt. It owns a lot of Treasuries and more than any other nation, but far short of an absolute majority.
    2) Rare Earths are not that rare and can be found in exploitable deposits worldwide. China however crashed the price in the 90's but did so at great Environmental Cost, as these elements are dirty to mine and refine.
China has raised the Environmental conditions for its extraction industries which has pushed up the price and made it viable for other nations to reopen their own mines.
    3) The Russian Mob ruled Russia under the puppet Yeltsin, Under Putin, Russia is ruled by the FSB, while the Russian Mob is largely exiled and living in London the EU and Israel.

Generally the US is highly reliable. It is reliable to be Duplicitous, Treacherous and Utterly Untrustworthy. We should be looking to free ourselves of both the US and EU as being a satrap to one or both is not any kind of freedom.
