Perhaps they will — but I suggest that's hardly a progressive move for democracy...

You are right - it was a rather uncharitable post, but is symptomatic of the general problem. Their leader did not abide by the ruling from the chair so instead of accepting the ruling they all threw their dummies out of the pram. How can we expect others to abide by rules and regs if those we elect to represent us are so pathetic? This just reinforces the downward spiral that we are all travelling on.

Why do we expect any MP to behave in a respectful manner?

Not just MPs although it's as good a place to start as any. Manners cost nothing and unless those visible in society start making a concerted effort to show some then we will reap what we sow.

Today I omitted to put a hand up to a guy who had waited while I took my right of way. His language as I passed was appalling for a slip on my part. I usually acknowledge road users who show politeness today I had a sick passenger and momentarily was more concerned about her. My mistake I own it, but did I deserve his fowl mouthed rant? Perhaps he was having a bad day but there is too much anger and lack of self control generally and if we don't nip it soon it will dictate society to us all. Bad manners in Westminster is simply unnecessary and arrogant.
