I am simply clarifying who ''owns'' speakers corner , it would be ignorant of me if I did not get clarified a few things that are associated with the thread topic and some history of how this came about.

The issue of who has the rights to the speakers corner is important in any decisions.

The islamic ideology (we think religions have some special entitlement and protection just because deities are involved, but they are undistinguishable from nazism and stalinism in many aspects) is a danger and a threat to the very existence of our societies. Freedom is who we are. Freedom is what our grandfathers died for in some cases. Over 50.000.0000 died in the process of bringing freedom to Europe, for decades half of the continent was strangled by the totalitarian rule of the Warsaw Pact regimes, for decades tens of millions of Europeans asked to freely express their opinion and cast their votes.. but they were denied this fundamental right.

Now, we are allowing the invasion of the islamic barbarians, who have no such concept as "freedom of speech" and "freedom of opinion". They do as long as it stays within the frameworks of the quran ad the islamic ideology in general - but that's not freedom of speech, just like the "Roman Empire", officially known as "Senatus Popolus Que Romanus" (The Senate and the Roman People), was not a real Republic but de facto an absolute monarchy.

For the aforementioned reasons, we should not allow muslim preachers to preach misoginy, homophobia, or let them think they have the authority to say what we can do and what we cannot do, what we can say and what we cannot say.

They are foreigners, and they are guests. As guests, it is their duty to abide by our rules, not the other way around.
"that guy choudhury" as you put it was chucked out of his medical degree for being a total piss head and then some jerk allowed him to get himself a joke piece of paper suggesting he actually knows something about the law; the fact is he now languishes (or was sentenced to languish, and did at some past point languish) behind bars because he finally overstepped the mark and found himself on the wrong end of a CONVICTION for incitement. You may note I (and probably others) pointed to the surprisingly few limits those at speakers corner must adhere to, and one of those is that you cannot incite your supporters to illegal acts. Choudhury, who for years spouted what everyone except the metropolitan police accept is hate speech against the British, finally went too far and is now enjoying free board, lodging, heating, education and all the health services he can consume. He may not himself have committed any acts of violence; he has however now been put in the slammer for inciting others to do so.
"The Inland Revenue is not slow, and quite rightly, to take every advantage which is open to it under the Taxing Statutes for the purposes of depleting the taxpayer's pocket. And the taxpayer is in like manner entitled to be astute to prevent, so far as he honestly can, the depletion of his means by the Inland Revenue"
