The Sudanese Presidential Adviser in charge of Darfur file, Dr. Ghazi Salahu-Eddin has said that the problem is that many people do not read the government new strategy on Darfur.

Dr. Salahu-Eddin has said that the strategy did not include anything about what it called the peace from within, however, it referred to domestic reconciliation.
So, it consists of both the local and foreign efforts toward finding a solution to the issue.

The said facts are very important for understanding dimensions of this strategy according to which President Al-Bashir preserves a request by the mediators on offering Vice Presidency to Darfur region.

President Al-Bashir said that this could give a wrong conception about the methodology of solving the crisis and could make the rest regions of Sudan to take the same path a step that would divide Sudan into different states.

And surely, this attitude contradicts the directives of the government strategy on Darfur.

The power-sharing concept differs from the previous one as the current government is democratically elected.

The people of Darfur voted for their representatives during the last election. Now, they are represented by four federal ministers including the ministers of Justice and Finance and a considerable number of state ministers and governors.

Distribution of sovereign posts in such manner will negatively affect the Sudanese politics. In fact, the people of Darfur deserve any sovereign post, but this mechanism of power-sharing is no longer useful.
