    Non-believers prayer

"God, I don't believe that you exist. But just in case you do, I'd ask you to show yourself to me in some way".

Non believers can pray this prayer in total confidence, can't they?

If you don't believe in such a thing as a god (other than as a construct of the human mind), what's the point?

Here's one for you Barry....................."God, I've read everything that's been written about you in the Bible, and I'm sincerely hoping you don't exist".
"I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours ." Steven Roberts

    Re: Non-believers prayer

Non believers like to hold fast to what they have as unshakeable beliefs in their own minds.
These are formed around what they consider to be logical and intelectual thoughts.
In their minds those ideas have actually become their god.

A non-belieiver who holds these ideas as sacrosanct would not be able to consider praying this prayer.
As for Dave, are you trying to hijack a topic, my friend? Please note the topic title and subject before posting.
I love God, I certainly cannot hope that He does not exist.

Does not compute - Non believers like to hold fast to what they have as unshakeable beliefs in their own minds

non-believers holding fast to their beliefs? Somewhat illogical captain.
And you're confusing atheism (belief in non-existence of whatever) with agnosticism (no belief in no-whatever). But then religious people often do confuse the two and of course they mostly don't realise the extent of their own atheism. For example, I am assuming that you believe in the christian god, which means you disbelieve in Thor and TFSM, that is to say you're an atheist except for the christian god. So perhaps a prayer for atheists could be whatever one you say? Is there a prize for the right answer, do I get a sweetie or something?

    Are you confused, yourself?
I have used neither the terms aetheism nor agnosticism in my earlier posts.

Perhaps others will understand my post better, I hope so.

No, it wasn't you who raised atheism/agnosticism, someone else did, sorry. However you did use non-believers and beliefs in the same sentence so the confusion is not all mine.
However, as you're mostly an atheist, then if you could say that prayer with confidence then yes they can. So do I get a sweetie, or what?
